Talent Acquisition Specialist
Full Job Description
Position Summary: Iowa Sports Management (ISM) is looking for an experienced and strategic talent acquisition specialist who will identify and manage talent. You will succeed in this role if you are a strong communicator with a passion for delivering an exceptional experience for both candidates and hiring managers. You will work to build strong relationships with management and be responsible for managing the recruiting process from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Source candidates using various search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline.
- Screen candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications and performing screenings and interviewing; on average, 300 per year.
- Take ownership of candidate experience by designing and managing job postings, job descriptions, and position requirements.
- Perform reference and background checks.
- Facilitate the offer process by extending the offer and negotiating employment terms.
- Work closely with Senior Management and Club Managers to provide assistance on critical recruitment needs and coordinate initiatives
- Manage onboarding and new hire process, including acquisition of required documents.
- Identify and support training needs for staff.
- Plans, organizes and effectively conduct employee training on various skill, policy and/or compliance areas
- Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follow up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Facilitate delivery of training by setting up needed training rooms or on-line sources, scheduling training times with attendees, preparing and distributing training aids such as handouts, and other related tasks
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, copying, and digitally transmitting documents as required
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma
- At least 2 years of experience in Talent Acquisition required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Demonstrated ability to execute full-cycle recruitment searches
- Strong working knowledge with a company-wide recruitment applicant tracking system, Internet, Microsoft Office Suite, LinkedIn, Idealist, Zoom.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
